# About

Sebastian Cochinescu is a technology entrepreneur based in Bucharest, Romania. He is the co-founder and CEO of Anima Felix, and has been building software companies since 2004, starting with AppleNet. Along the way he founded TailPath and co-founded SoundFeed.

He invests in early-stage startups as an angel investor and board member at TechAngels Romania, serves as a scientific journal editor for The British Blockchain Association, and hosts the [Connecting the Dots podcast](https://podcast.cochinescu.com). He has taught at the University of Bucharest and The Entrepreneurship Academy.

Before technology there was music: he trained as a classical pianist and later toured with the Hara rock band, a story told in [one of his posts](/p/connecting-the-dots-music-grit-diplomacy-and-blockchain/). In 2018 he received the Emblem of Honor of the Romanian Army High Command.
