# Hello, world!

As a kid, my father would always encourage me to write. It might have had something to do with him being a writer. But it also seemed that I had these interesting stories and ideas that were worth being remembered. However, an unfortunate chain of events lead to losing all of my belongings from those years.

Fast forwarding a few years, in 1997 I published my website on Geocities, and in the early 2000’s my blog. Back then the forums were a hit and the only decent blogging platform was… Apple’s homepage.mac.com. I remember getting over the Apple monthly transfer quota at one point when one of my posts about stereophonic sounds got viral.

I moved on to other endeavors over the years, just to find myself today craving again to share my thoughts and ideas. So here you’ll find my opinions and takes on technology, geopolitics, philosophy, and other things that keep me awake at night, as well as summaries of my public talks and presentations.

It used to be difficult for me to introduce myself in one sentence because I wore many hats over the years. But I am confident I do a better job today: I am a tech entrepreneur, an educator, and an investor.

I publish a video podcast about technology and geopolitics called “Connecting the dots with Sebastian Cochinescu” ([Podcast](https://podcast.cochinescu.com/), [Youtube](https://www.youtube.com/@SebastianCochinescu)) and you may find my newsletter on [Substack](https://www.cochinescu.com/) or connect on [Twitter](https://twitter.com/cochinescu), [Linkedin](https://www.linkedin.com/in/sebastiancochinescu/), [Facebook](https://www.facebook.com/cochinescu), or [Instagram](https://www.instagram.com/cochinescu/).

I am looking forward to knowing you too, so if you find my content interesting please drop me a line at sebastian at cochinescu dot com.
