WordPress vs. iWeb
I really wanted to like iWeb. So much that I stubbornly kept using it for almost two years. I even bought iWeb Enhancer, hoping it would make the software better. But the time has come to switch to WordPress.
Here are the main reasons why I gave up on iWeb:
- an SEO nightmare—possibly the worst web publishing software ever made in that respect;
- no integration with Google Analytics;
- no trackbacks or pings;
- no “widgets”;
- comments only through mobileme (which costs about 100 euros a year);
- no way to write posts from another platform, or even from a computer other than the one holding your iWeb database (the Domain file in ~/Library/Application Support/iWeb);
- when you change themes, you risk losing pretty much your entire blog.
And the list could go on, but I’ll stop here, happy to have rediscovered WordPress.

Ai hainutze noi, asadar! Sa le folosesti cu placere, sa postezi cu placere! Si sa faci tot ce faci cu placere! (app de anime, Tom&Jerry: motanul se duce la pisicutza si ii zice: Nu vrei sa-ti umpli sufletul de plashere???)
